Pi-Bridge
The Pi-Bridge is a structure designed for an engineering challenge to hold as much weight as possible across a 1 meter span. The materials consisted of one 40" by 32" sheet of millboard and a 143ml bottle of Weldbond glue. The Pi-Bridge employs a unique design with 2 webs and one flange (at the top). If the cross section is observed, it forms the greek symbol pi, hence the "Pi Bridge". The bridge held a load of 743 pounds! That is quite high considering the materials used.
